Dr Jacobson was first invited to present a paper at the British Tomato conference over 25 years ago when the events were held at the Glasshouse Crops Research Institute, Littlehampton.

Cucumber Grower's Association
Dr Jacobson was the principal organiser of all the CGA annual conferences from the Associations’ inaugural event in 2000 to 2012. The conferences each incorporated the CGA’s AGM and a small trade show. On average there were about 75 delegates at each event.
